Below are listed some measures that we would suggest that you take in order to ensure the authenticity and intentions
of other users. These recommendations are not intended to be an exhaustive list:
- Make sure you gather as much information as possible about the other nanny or family first by email including full
address and contact numbers for home and work. Follow up on these and make sure they are genuine.
- Always make sure you are accompanied to any initial meetings by at least one other adult and make sure other friends
or relatives know of your exact whereabouts for the first few meetings.
- We would not recommend you take your children along at the initial stages until you are absolutely sure of the
other family's authenticity.
- If the other family have an existing nanny that you are considering sharing, do not just rely on the fact that
he/she is already working for the other family; checkout previous references yourself.
- Make sure all the necessary insurance policies, such as car insurance, are in place before you start a share.
